I’ve spent nearly 20 years in newsrooms, still fueled by that deadline adrenaline (and many, many lattes). I grew up in Columbus, OH, carry my Greek roots proudly, and keep both alive in Brooklyn. I’m a mom of four — two kids, two pups — and most weekends you can find me on a sideline or bleacher cheering my crew on with my husband. And I’m forever on a quest for the perfect donut.

I’m a born-and-raised Wisconsinite with strong Mexican roots. I teeter between wanting to do everything and absolutely nothing. Yoga, meditation, and running keep me grounded (most days), and I have a love-hate relationship with news push notifications. Oh, and I truly believe you can never watch Gilmore Girls or Twilight too many times.

After watching the news with my dad as a kid, I’ve been Pavloved into working in the news industry and wouldn’t want to do anything else. I was raised in the South, so please excuse my use of “y’all.” And when I’m not at the gym, you can catch me flipping pizzas at my parents’ restaurant. We keep it saucy.

I’m a born-and-bred New Yorker who fell for sports going to games as a kid — or maybe it was catching my brother’s ball to win a little league championship. Hard to say. I’m happiest watching NWSL, WNBA, and F1… or getting lost in an art exhibit and dialing in the perfect iced espresso.

I’ve worked in newsrooms in Iowa, Arizona, Colorado, California, and New York, but — wherever I am — I’m happiest when writing, reporting, reading, and running. I love a good public records request, and I spend too much time watching cow videos on Instagram (hey, I won a blue ribbon showing cattle in 4-H as a kid, and I have to get back to my small-town roots somehow).

I live and breathe all things lifestyle, pop culture, and the chronically online. I was previously an editor at Oprah Daily (yes, that Oprah) and graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. I can often be found playing with my two nieces (hi, Mara and Ellie), visiting my local farmers market, and actually cooking all the recipes I’ve saved on Instagram.

I’m a born and raised New Yorker, chronic oversharer, and fountain soda enthusiast. In my spare time, I co-produce Debt Heads, a narrative (funny!) podcast about the economy, and play with my new rescue kittens, Cher and Nicolas Cage.
