Editor's Note

Caroline, Senior Commerce Editor, here. I cut my teeth in the commerce world as a beauty writer, and I still have a soft spot for the category. Though my overflowing makeup bag might not be the best indication, these days, I’m very discerning about the beauty products I spend my money on. These new-to-me products are worth it:

Collagen eye patches. I used these to prep for Margo’s wedding, and you’d never even know I clocked five hours of sleep the night before.
My favorite nail concealer in a surprisingly flattering lavender shade.
I tracked down the specific fragrance the chicest women in New York are wearing. It’s light, fresh, and not overtly feminine.
The retinol body lotion my mom put me onto. We both use it as a hand cream before bed.
A creamy highlighter that looks angelic on your lids and Cupid’s bow.
This “sex musk” body wash and perfume oil. Just trust me on this one.

Another note for the road: Sign up for this giveaway from Shop.com for a chance to earn $1,000 in Shop Cash (that’s 50 bottles of that nail concealer, by my count). Just head to the desktop homepage and make an account. May the odds be ever in your favor.

The Daily Steal

A fluffy blanket for the end of the bed

Caroline again. I’m in full hibernation mode right now, and like many people on the internet, I’ve been eyeing a certain brand’s ultra-luxurious, often-sold-out fluffy blankets. But I can’t stomach spending as much as $425 on a blanket that my dog will almost surely get peanut butter on. Hence this $50ish throw from Amazon, which also boasts a cult following, a cozy bubble texture, and an extra-large size that’s just begging for you (and your pet) to get all wrapped up in.

Here are three of the hottest products on the internet this week:

1. Hotel Lobby Candle Paris Nuit: Smells like a midnight stroll through the Jardin du Luxembourg with a handsome stranger.

2. Calvin Klein Austina Bootie: They’re office-friendly and on sale.

3. Bogg Go Zip: A little bag to go in your bag. Use it to keep your earbuds, lip balm, and other small stuff within reach.
