When I’m back in New York, one of my nonnegotiables is to do a quick Uniqlo restock. As you probably know by now, the basics are affordable, cute, and surprisingly stylish, so it’s the one chain retailer I miss living in the southeast. Here’s everything I bought on my recent trip while in the city:

What I’m considering to be my all-time favorite non-denim shorts. I grabbed this neutral striped pair and a couple solids. They have an elastic waistband, an internal drawstring, and are under $30.
