It might seem strange to put this out there, but Peak Design has no investors. I started this company with the launch of a single product back in 2011, and we’ve been slowly growing ever since.

Why does this matter? Because it means we get to build the kind of company we want to work for—and make the kind of products we actually want to use. No cutting corners, no rushing to meet investor demands. Just meticulously designed gear that solves real problems and brings joy to real adventures.

We don’t chase arbitrary growth targets. We don’t rush product launches. We ensure that the workers in our partners’ factories are treated fairly. We treat our customers as peers. We founded a climate action nonprofit. We donate 1% of our revenue to environmental causes.

Lastly, we speak up for what we believe in, and when we do, we seek to understand all sides of the issue. We think everybody should do that.
