A fall bed with a coverlet and a waffle throw at the foot

Cozy, from
the bottom up.

The best fall beds are built in three parts: something soft inside the duvet, something flat across the top, and something loose to pull up when it gets cold. Here’s one of each, and how to put them together.

STEP 01 · THE CORE

Pick your comforter

This decides how the whole bed feels at 3am. Go fluffy, or go cool.

Cloud Comforter

Big, cloud-like loft that doesn’t trap heat. For people who want to sink in.

Breeze Cooling Comforter

Eucalyptus fill that breathes. For people who kick the covers off.

STEP 02 · THE TOP

Finish the surface

Spread it edge to edge, then turn the top back a foot so the duvet peeks out. It’s the difference between a made bed and a styled one.

Matelassé Coverlet

Raised, woven texture. Crisp and hotel-neat.

Shop →

Linen Quilt

Stitched linen that looks better lived-in.

STEP 03 · THE FOOT

Add the throw

Fold it loosely over the end of the bed. It’s there when the temperature drops, and it travels to the couch on Sunday.

Puffer Blanket

Puffy, quilted, seriously warm.

Shop →

Organic Cotton Waffle Throw

Airy waffle knit with a fringed edge. Lighter, all texture.
