Happy (almost) weekend. Between the US Open heating up (go, Coco, go) and the last few beach days of the season, August really is — in the words of Taylor Swift — sipping away like a bottle of wine. Here’s how I’m squeezing out every last drop:

Camping out at the movies. I’ve been giving my Regal Unlimited subscription a workout with this queer horror romance (starring Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson, no less), this love letter to Provincetown, and what’s undeniably the biggest blockbuster of the summer — if not the year. (Yes, I bought the IMAX popcorn bucket.)
Treating myself to new earrings. I love how a purposefully mismatched pair, like these crescent moon huggies, makes any outfit 20 times cooler. Plus, if I’m going to be squinting into the sun all weekend, I might as well sparkle.
Reapplying my SPF like my skin depends on it (it does). Thanks to the serum-like feel and moisture-boosting blend of ingredients, this Glow Recipe watermelon sunscreen lives rent-free in my beach bag.
Sinking my teeth into a gothic page-turner that’s (accurately) been called “the lesbian vampire novel we need.” I can confirm, it’s not for the faint of heart…or neck.
