Erik Chavez is a Microsoft architect who works 5am to 10pm, building Jobric on his own dime in whatever hours are left. He's charging job seekers instead of recruiters, which is a bit of a curveball in an industry where candidates usually don't pay. But Erik launched on May 1 and is already at $3,300 MRR from users pulling out their own credit cards.

Jobric flips the LinkedIn model by scoring how well a role fits you, rather than optimizing for whoever paid for the ad. Erik built the core as proprietary engineering that doesn't touch an LLM, plus small in-house models that keep his infrastructure costs fixed. It means his cost per match actually drops as he scales, whereas anyone running on frontier APIs just watches their bill climb.
